Standard Life - Senior Digital Designer

September 2014 - Present

My role within the Standard Life Savings UX design team is to visualise and build consistent journeys across the various platforms and to make sure these journeys feel consistent. The website, online community, blog and dashboard make up the savings and investment tools which I have helped deliver. By creating design patterns, using customer research and data from MVT/AB testing and Google analytics to help shape these customer journeys. By working closely with governance and compliance to achieve sign-off while maintaining a high level of creativity and to accessibility standards.

Envoy International - Creative Lead

April 2013 - August 2014

My time working with Envoy International involved being a part of the marketing and design team for a specialist patent, trademark and design renewal payment service provider. Designing online services which included various brochureware website designs and front-end development, email campaign design and build, landing pages, joint partner iframe pages and user interface screens for the company online system and back office. A large part of this work involved collaborating with external companies to evolve the backend systems and to develop future plugins.

Openside Digital - Senior Designer

February 2007 - April 2013

A sports management company that is internationally recognised as a leader in; online sports systems, high performance tracking, internet application development and sports consultancy services. Creating ecommerce web sites with online shopping, using php and Drupal CMS technology. Creating brands for some of the largest rugby, cricket and golfing sporting bodies across the globe.

Denvir Marketing - Design Manager

March 2006 - February 2007

Main roles and resposibilities involved managing the design department for a marketing company who specialised in the food and drinks industry, offering their clients both web and print design services. Also creating visually attractive and functional design solutions to support several project teams. This consisted of company websites, mailers, point of sale, brochures and complete exhibition designs.

Crombie Anderson - Web Designer

June 2003 - March 2006

Creating and designing CMS templates for an award winning design agency concentrating on usability & accessibility as the main focus. Working with CSS to implement W3C compliancy rules. This also included designing with some Flash technology.

Pindar Net - Web Designer

Designing bespoke, database driven websites for the Pindar company as well as the design & maintenance of the company intranet as well as animated banner adverts and micro sites for customers (Pindar main client).
